This year’s Student Council comprises a total of *23 dynamic students, carefully elected to represent various sections and responsibilities of the school. These include the **School President, School Vice President, seven School Ambassadors, Sports Captain, Sports Vice Captain, Middle Section Leader, Secondary Section Leader, Senior Secondary Section Leader, House Captains, and House Vice Captains*. Together, this council forms the bedrock of student leadership for the academic session, entrusted with upholding the school’s values and fostering a culture of unity and discipline.

The ceremony commenced at *9:00 AM* with a warm welcome to all dignitaries and guests. The *Chief Guest* for the day was *Ms Sini S, Commandant of the Second Battalion, Kerala Armed Police (KAP). Her esteemed presence added great significance to the event. The school was also privileged to host the **Senior Manager of SKECT (Sri Kurumba Educational and Charitable Trust), the **Director of Education of the SKECT, the **Principal, and the **Vice Principal* of The SOBHA Academy. Their collective presence affirmed the importance the school places on cultivating future-ready leaders.

The event began with the *Lighting of the Lamp, a traditional Indian ritual symbolising the elimination of darkness and the welcoming of knowledge and wisdom. The wreath of light was kindled by the Chief Guest, Senior Manager, Director of Education, Principal, and Vice Principal—each flame a metaphor for guidance and illumination. This auspicious act was followed by a soulful **invocation song* performed by the school choir, offering prayers for divine guidance and blessings to the newly appointed leaders.

In her *inspiring address*, the Principal eloquently spoke on the theme of leadership being synonymous with responsibility and servitude. She urged the council members to be torchbearers of integrity, to lead not with authority but with humility and purpose. She reminded them that true leadership lies not in command, but in action, service, and example.

The *formal investiture* followed shortly, with the School President and Vice President leading the Council’s ceremonial march to the main stage. They carried themselves with commendable pride and composure, reflecting their readiness to assume their new responsibilities. The momentous *pining of badges and presentation of sashes* was a grand spectacle. The *School President* received her badge from the hands of the Chief Guest, marking the highest honour in the student body. The remaining council members were adorned with their symbols of office by the Senior Manager and faculty members, a gesture rich in symbolism and pride.

As a significant emblem of transferred responsibility and trust, the *school flag was ceremoniously handed over* by the Principal to the newly appointed School Vice-President. Likewise, the *House Captains received their house flags* from the respective house in-charges, signifying allegiance, pride, and teamwork within their houses.

The *Chief Guest, Ms Sini S*, delivered a compelling and motivating speech. She congratulated the newly invested council members and commended their readiness to embrace leadership at such a formative stage of life. Drawing from her own experience in serving the nation, she spoke about the tenets of leadership—being punctual, responsible, team-minded, and committed—and urged them to lead by example, treating their positions not as privileges, but as opportunities to make a meaningful difference.

As a gesture of appreciation, the Principal presented a special *token of gratitude* to the Chief Guest, honouring her inspiring presence and valuable words which resonated with every student and attendee.

The Investiture Ceremony came to a dignified close at *11:30 AM* with the singing of the *National Anthem*—a unifying moment that stirred in every heart a sense of pride, belonging, and resolve.

The entire event stood as a testament to The SOBHA Academy’s continued commitment to nurturing young minds and instilling in them a deep-rooted sense of responsibility and leadership. We congratulate the newly appointed Student Council and wish them the very best as they embark on this exciting journey of learning, leading, and excelling.
