An Exchange Programme Across Borders
At The SOBHA Academy, we believe education is a universal bridge that transcends borders. Driven by our commitment to excellence, the School Management has initiated a pioneering exchange programme with Hartland International School, Dubai, under the SOBHA Group. This collaboration enables our teachers to experience world-class educational practices while welcoming international educators to share their expertise with us. Together, these experiences cultivate an environment where learning is not only effective but also inspiring and transformative.
The First Exchange Journey – October 2024
On the 12th of October 2024, eight academic staff members from The SOBHA Academy embarked on a transformative journey to Dubai. The delegation included Ms. Rajitha Rajeevan (Principal of The SOBHA Academy), Mr. Praveen A V, Ms. Beena Prakash, Ms. Anupama Gopal, Ms. Preethy P V, Ms. Anju Anand, Ms. Jimna H, and Ms. Deepa Viji.
Their destination was the prestigious Hartland International School, an institution that educates nearly 2,000 children from over 100 nationalities. During the enriching five-day visit, our teachers immersed themselves in innovative educational trends, exploring approaches that make teaching and learning engaging, purposeful, and joyful.
The delegation experienced first-hand the school’s focus on:
- Classroom management and innovative teaching strategies
- Creative teacher–student dynamics and board work skills
- Vibrant classroom setups and engaging assemblies
- Parental involvement and communication practices
- Child safety, inclusivity, and well-being measures
- Library and art space management
- Celebrations that embrace cultural diversity
With open minds and enthusiasm, the TSA team reflected on how these practices could be adapted thoughtfully to our own school environment. They returned on the 19th of October 2024 with renewed inspiration and a vision for continuous improvement.
Reciprocating this partnership, four educators from Hartland International – Ms. Aminah, Ms. Lucy, Mr. Eddie Brown, and Mr. Paul Evans – visited The SOBHA Academy on 12th October 2024. Their interactions with teachers and students, particularly in the fields of English, Mathematics, and Science, provided fresh strategies that enhanced our academic structure and methodology.
The Second Exchange Journey – January & February 2025
Encouraged by the success of the first exchange, The SOBHA Academy initiated its second exchange visit in January 2025. On 25th January 2025, another team of educators travelled to Dubai: Ms. Rajitha Rajeevan (Principal of The SOBHA Academy), Dr. Reena C, Ms. Umadevi C P, Ms. Vinitha M, Ms. Manju K, Ms. Praseetha Sivaraman E, Ms. Arathi M Rajagopal, and Ms. Liji V.
This visit further deepened our understanding of global best practices in pedagogy. The TSA team explored innovative methodologies designed to inspire creativity, foster critical thinking, and make learning more meaningful for every child.

These enriching exchanges symbolise more than visits—they represent a sustained commitment to collective growth and global partnership. What began as an initiative involving a small group of teachers has laid the foundation for ongoing collaborations that will benefit not only educators but, most importantly, our students.
