At The SOBHA Academy, the Student Council Election is more than a process—it is a celebration of democracy, leadership, and student empowerment. For the academic year 2025-26, our Council Election encouraged spirited participation, resilience, and teamwork among our students.
Election Timeline & Announcement
The Student Council Election for the academic year 2025-26 was officially declared on 21 June 2025. The announcement, made by the principal via the school’s digital panel, informed all students and staff about the opening of nominations. Eager students collected nomination forms, ready to take on leadership roles within the school.
Nomination & Screening
Nominations initially closed on 24 June 2025. However, due to rain-induced school holidays and limited applications for several posts, the deadline was extended. This ensured wider student representation and greater enthusiasm for the electoral process.
Screening and Adjustments
All nominations went through a thorough eligibility check. On 29 June 2025, the final list of eligible candidates was publicly announced, setting the stage for fair competition. While most roles were student-contested, certain key positions such as Section Leader (Secondary Section) and House Captain or Vice-Captain roles (Agni, Bhoomi, Vayu, Akash) were filled based on teacher votes—to ensure strong, balanced student leadership. Nominated students were personally contacted to confirm their acceptance; if declined, the position passed to the next eligible candidate.
The Voting Experience
Electronic voting took place on 2 July 2025, empowering every student from Classes 6 to 12 to have their voice heard. The digital ballot ensured a smooth, inclusive, and timely election—even amidst weather challenges—truly reflecting the spirit of democratic participation.

Investiture & Orientation
The newly elected Student Council members will be formally inducted at a grand Investiture Ceremony on 11 July 2025. Comprehensive orientation sessions are planned to help all council representatives step confidently into their roles—setting the tone for a year of positive action and collaboration.
